Chocolate Fruit Bars

Note: These recipes use NZ measurements. 1 c = 1 cup = 250 ml. 1 T = 1 tablespoon = 15 ml. 1 D = 2 teaspoons. 1 t = 1 teaspoon = 5ml. If you're in America, you may find you need a little extra baking powder in recipes that use it.

6oz flour
4oz butter
3oz brown sugar
3t cocoa
1t baking powder
1 c chopped dates
1 c chopped walnuts
1 egg

Sift flour and rub in butter. Add brown sugar, cocoa, baking powder, chopped dates, chopped walnuts. Mix with egg. Bake for 20-25 at 180C.
