Brown Betty
- 1 c icing sugar
- 2 c brown sugar
- 1 T golden syrup
- 125g butter
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/4 t cream of tartar
- 1/4 c walnuts, chopped
Grease sponge roll tin. Put icing sugar, brown sugar, golden syrup and butter in a large bowl. Add the milk and cream of tartar. Stir well. Micro-cook, uncovered, on high for 5 minutes, stirring once. Micro-cook on high for 4 minutes, stir once after 2 minutes. Stir in walnuts. Micro-cook, on high, for another 2 minutes. Beat for 2 minutes until thick. Pour into tin.
